OceanLake District LogoOceanLake is the second district in Lincoln City's String of (six) Pearls, from north to south.

Excerpt from application/pdfHistory of OceanLake District

"Oceanlake, the largest of all the cities that merged to become Lincoln City in 1996, was in many ways Lincoln City long before there was such a town. Both Oceanlake and Lincoln City are the sum of smaller towns combined. In both instances the principal reason for the towns combining was the advantage gained by economy of scale in providing essential city services such as fire protection, sewer, and water.

Oceanlake was the combination of the two small towns of Raymond (originally planned to be a vacation haven for Catholics) and Devil's Lake Park (a resort town dominated by a large prviately owned auto camp). Oceanlake's identity was somewhat clouded when it incorporated. The merger did not include raymond or Devil's Lkae Park in their entirety. Rather, it was the area serviced by Oceanlake Water District."

As with other districts in Lincoln City, Oceanlake's food scene doesn't disappoint. Since 1949, Barnacle Bill's has been serving up fresh from the boat seasonal seafood. Salmon, tuna and Dungeness crab just to name a few. Do yourself a favor and try some of their famous smoked salmon. Tap the brakes when driving by this seafood market.

Take a trip to Mexico, Thailand, Nepal, and Japan right here in Oceanlake. You'll find an international dining scene within just a few short blocks. Yatai Sushi has created a number of signature rolls that are to die for. The Yatai and Dragon rolls are a few of our favorites.

Have a sweet tooth? You can't miss the bright red building where Candyland offers fresh saltwater taffy and other vintage treats. Just down the street, My Petite Sweet will lure you in with their famous gourmet cupcakes or another decadent delight from their bakery.

Bijou Theatre

With first-run movies, timeless classics and matinees every day of the year, the Bijou Theatre truly is a place where movies still matter. Many have come to escape reality and daydream, envision the future, or to re-visit the past. Though their popcorn has a solid reputation, they now serve beer, wine and food from their neighbor, Grill 1646.

Gift Shops

Explore the many eclectic gift shops where you'll find anything from t-shirts, to antiques and collectibles, to fossils from the past. Scour every nook and cranny and discover all of the treasures waiting to be found.

Oceanlake Beach Access
