4th of July
Fourth of July Celebration
Lincoln City will be hosting three different events this Fourth of July to help celebrate the 250th Anniversary of the United States of America.
Lincoln City Parks & Recreation will be hosting: Vets', Pets and Pies. This event will be held at the Community Center from 10am until 12 noon. Enter your best pie for judging and walk your pet in the pet parade! Best pies and pets will receive a prize. Veterans receive free entry to the Community Center all day and a special gift from Lincoln City Parks & Recreation.
Join Explore Lincoln City in the Taft District for Stars and Stripes and Wildlife, a celebration of Independence Day and the natural wonders of Siletz Bay. Live music, food trucks, eco-activities, fun swag and more from noon to 5pm near the Taft Pavilion. Parking for the Stars, Stripes and Wildlife will be in the public parking areas throughout Lincoln City's Taft District. Event parking at Taft High School will be open at 11:00 am. A shuttle service will make rounds from Taft High School to the event site until 6:00 pm.
To cap off the night, the City will be hosting a fireworks show over Devils Lake. The launch site will be near Regatta Park. Parking is very limited at the park, which will be closed off to vehicles at 6:00 pm. A shuttle service will be provided to Regatta Park, with parking available at the Lincoln City Community Center. The shuttle service will be running from 7:00 pm until 1:00 am.
Why are the fireworks now over Devils Lake?
Last year, Lincoln City held the first drone show on the Oregon Coast instead of fireworks over Siletz Bay. The change was in response to growing community concerns about environmental and wildlife impacts at this sensitive site, which is located within 1000 feet of the Siletz Bay Wildlife Refuge. Public safety, fire risk, and impact on pets and veterans of war were factors, too. Even with the move back to a traditional fireworks show in 2026, the City decided to continue with the decision to have the show in a different location than Siletz Bay.
July 5th Beach and Community Cleanup
On July 5th, there will be a Beach and Community clean-up to help pick-up the trash and debris left over from the Fourth of July celebration.
There will be more information about these events as the holiday draws closer.
