Explore Lincoln City is requesting proposals from qualified and interested agencies for professional services to rebuild Explore Lincoln City’s existing website into a refreshed, new design and structure, provide website annual services (including but not limited to site hosting and support). This will also provide search engine and generative engine optimization services. The link to the RFP document can be found here.

Notice About Towing & Hauling Practices

The Lincoln County Forest Enforcement Program, Lincoln County Sheriff, Abandoned RV Abatement Program, and the US Forest Service have teamed up to clear, clean, and protect remote areas of Lincoln County. The 5-year program has already begun its first phase at multiple sites throughout the County.

As a result of these efforts, the County and US Forest Service have become keenly aware of vehicles and garbage being hauled to public property, private property, and along roadways to be illegally dumped in remote areas. Investigations and potentially prosecutions will be ongoing to bring this illegal dumping in our community to an end.
Illegal dumping represents a significant harm to our community, and any vehicle, boat, or RV under tow that is enroute to an illegal dump site or destination other than a repair shop is a noteworthy event. We request assistance from our community and local companies in notifying our County Dispatch (541) 265-0777 of events that would be considered a suspicious act or circumstance.

U.S. 101 Lincoln City Curb Ramps Construction Phase (ODOT)

Whether you drive, ride, walk or roll, we are committed to providing the best accessibility possible to all people using the transportation system. 

One of the ways we are doing this is by rebuilding or installing ADA curb ramps in Lincoln City. We're adding textured plates at the curb ramps, called truncated domes. These allow pedestrians to feel, see and hear where the crossing is located and the direction they should go to safely cross the street.

Why are curb ramps important?

Curb ramps make it easier for people to move between the sidewalk and road. This can be helpful for those who have trouble stepping up and down high curbs. It's also helpful for people using wheelchairs, strollers, walkers, hand carts and bicycles. 

By making curb ramps gently slope to the road, it improves accessibility and makes it easier for everyone to get around, whether they have a disability or not.

Why aren’t all the curb ramps in my community being fixed at the same time?

For this project, we will group and rebuild curb ramps in batches at various locations.

Not all intersections or curb locations are the same. Some are construction-ready and others may have fire hydrants, utility boxes, utility poles, additional land requirements or we need an environmental permit. These are things we consider when scheduling the curb ramp construction in each city.

The construction-ready locations are done first because they can be done immediately while those needing additional coordination or design will be part of a future batch or stage of construction. This is why an intersection with four corners might be completed at different times.
