The Lincoln City Planning & Community Development Department strives to support community goals for livability, economic vitality, and preservation of our environment through the following land use planning programs:

  • Implementation of the Lincoln City Comprehensive Plan which provides a vision for the community to the year 2043 and ensures compliance with Oregon’s 19 Statewide Planning Goals;
  • Review of local land use applications to ensure compliance with the City’s zoning and subdivision codes;
  • Processing of building permits in compliance with building and zoning codes;
  • Administration of the Short Term Rental (STR) program; and
  • Floodplain Management and participation in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).
  • Support of new businesses in evaluating potential properties and obtaining required permits, such as Change of Occupancy/Change of Use, Signs, Home Occupation, Mobile Food Units, Bed & Breakfast, Street Vendor. These permits may be required in addition to the Business Occupation Tax Permit.
