Share the Love and Enter the 26th Annual Valentine's Day Essay Contest

Lincoln City Parks & Recreation (LCP&R) is excited to invite all youth authors, kindergarten through sixth grade, to enter Lincoln City’s 26th Annual Valentine’s Day Essay Contest. This year’s theme asks entrants to write about what they love and explain why it is their favorite. Luckily, there is much to love, especially here in this wonderful community on the gorgeous Oregon Coast! Prizes will be awarded to two writers in each grade during the public Awards Ceremony. All are welcome to attend on February 13 at 5pm in the Council Chambers at City Hall to celebrate love, writing, and aspiring young wordsmiths.

LCP&R’s Recreation Coordinator, Jay Bythesea, is excited to help organize the essay contest this year, commenting, “It’s truly a pleasure to facilitate such a beloved community event. Our team looks forward to reading about all the things the youth in our community love!”

Essay forms are available at the LC Community Center. Please submit all essays to the LC Community Center or recinfo@gmail.com. The deadline to enter this year’s contest is February 9.
