Help Keep Fall Leaves Off of the City's Streets

Post Date:11/14/2025 10:26 AM

As the Fall season sets in, many trees shed their leaves across lawns and streets. Do your part in helping keep the streets and stormwater systems of Lincoln City clean and reliable by keeping downed leaves out of the street.

  • Do not rake or blow leaves from your yard into the street.
  • Clear catch basins in front of your house to prevent flooding during a rainstorm.
  • Please put your leaves in the Mixed Compostables bin. If that fills-up, you can use the leaves as mulch in your landscaping.
Keeping downed leaves out of the street reduces flooding caused by leaves clogging catch basins. Leaves can also pose a traffic hazard for drivers if they block lanes of traffic, and they can make the road slippery for pedestrians and bicyclists.
