The Planning and Community Development Department provides service and information to the general public and all phases of the development community. Planning Staff implements Ordinance and Plan requirements through the Site Review Process, Land Use Action Process and Special Projects. Specifically, the Planning and Community Development Department reviews potential development opportunities to ensure compliance with zoning, setback, parking, landscaping, access and other City requirements.
In addition to oversight of the development process, the Planning and Community Development Department advises the City Council and Planning Commission on all land use and special project matters.
Generally, the Planning and Community Development Department can provide information for all facets of development and land use within city limits as well as the Urban Growth Boundary.
