People came to the beach and hada Geocoin Day! This promotional event ran from April 1, 2008 until May 18, 2008. Because of the great success there will be a new coin and a new promotional starting sometime between September 2008 and May 2009. The Rules were as follows for the first event. (It will change some for the second event.)
1. Pick up a “Passport to Geocache Lincoln City” at the Lincoln City Community Center or the Visitor and Convention Bureau Information Center. Their addresses are at the bottom of this page. The Passports will be available for pick up: April 1, 2008.
2. Do the 20 specific Geocaches in Lincoln City. The Passport lists 20 Geocaches (by GC#) that you will need to record the "CODE WORD" found in each cache (written on the inside “lid” of each cache).
3. Go to the closest of the two locations and claim your Geocoin.
