 Community Center Information Minimize

Lincoln City Community Center

The Community Center is a multiuse complex that provides its users with a variety of services and programs.  A first class Lifestyle Center, 25 meter pool, wading pool, full size basketball court that can also accomodate many other sports, indoor walking/running track, rock climbing wall, a food and beverage/lounge area, and other amenities such as a conference room, full service kitchen, and full-service locker rooms are available in the facility.

Aquatic Center

The Community Center has long been known for its excellent aquatics facilities and programs.  The main pool is a 6-lane 25 meter pool; our second pool is an instructional pool, which is kept at a warm 92 degrees.  Water Polo, swim lessons, water aerobics and recreational swiming are just a few of the many programs offered at the Aquatic Center.

Lifestyle Center - Weights and Fitness

The Lifestyle Center includes top-of-the-line equipment in free weights, machine weights, aerobic machines, and indoor walking track.  The Lifestyle Center is located on both the upper and lower levels of the complex adjacent to the basketball court.  This allows the users the option of watching activities going on the court or to watch one of the TVs that are set up for their enjoyment.

The Lifestyle Center includes free weights, a smith machine, top of the line Paramount individual muscle group machines (13), and a five station Universal machine.  In the Cardio Room, there are three treadmills, six elliptical trainers, four rowing machines, six cycling stations and three stair climbers.

Gymnasium

A full-size basketball court highlights the main floor of the gymnasium.  Along with basketball and volleyball, the floor also accomodates badminton, indoor soccer, field hockey, gymnastics, dance, aerobics and more.  The court features a newly refinished hardwood floor.

Food Services

On the lower level in the lobby area there is a food and beverage area where users of the facility can replenish their bodies.  Snack and beverage machines are located near the food and beverage area.

Locker Rooms

Full-service locker rooms for both men and women are immediately off the main and pool areas.  The locker rooms include large shower areas, benches, sinks, suit dryers, and bathroom facilities.  Two family dressing rooms are also available.

Conference Room

Available for rental is a large conference/meeting room located on the main floor of the facility.  In addition, there is an adjacent full service kitchen.

Community invited to help identify Park and Recreation needs

The public is invited to participate in identifying park and recreation facility needs for the Lincoln City area.

Meeting: Lincoln City Community Center

Date: May 28, 2008

Address: 2150 NE Oar

Time: 7:00 PM

Community input from the meeting will be used to prioritize projects for the next six years. Projects could include but not be limited to acquisition of parklands, trail development, park improvements, sports facilities and other specialized recreation facilities.

The result of this planning process will be the development of a capital facilities plan that will be used to fund projects for the next six years. "This will be your chance to help determine which projects should be developed in the future." said Ron Ploger, Parks and Recreation Director

Please visit the City’s website http://www.lincolncity.org/ to find out more information or contact the Parks and Recreation Department directly at (541) 994-2131 for more information.
